ALASKALASKA TV DINNERS

‘TV Dinners’ is the latest track from ALASKALASKA. It takes an interesting lyrical approach that focuses on the guilt of enjoying certain elements of lockdown. “I wrote it in about 20 minutes as a stream of consciousness kind of poem,” Lucinda Durate-Holman explains. “I felt a real sense of privilege that I was able to enjoy a space in time that for a lot of people was incredibly testing on so many levels. And with that privilege, a sense of guilt.” The track takes influence from electronica, with digital sounds and synth textures being found amongst rich, acoustic instrumentation. It’s musically interesting, but manages to feel organic and melodic simultaneously. Their new album, Still Life, drops on October 14th, just before they head off on tour around the UK supporting Porridge Radio. -Dan Peeke.
